Rats, Bats, Snakes, and now this:

This fellow is about three and a half centimetres long; he fell from the bathroom window and scurried into the corner on Saturday morning as I staggered in there, stark naked, for a piss.
Unsettling!
This photo was taken **after** I killed him with Mortein Doom.

OMG!!!Did you suffer from shy willy while he was in there with you or did you piss, kill and snap with detachment? The close up of the photo makes it look as though you could have boiled him for lunch!

Ahhh takes me back to thailand… at least you have a "proper" toilet, squat toilets bring you a whole lot closer to the wildlife!

I relieved myself and then murdered him with repellant which had the benefit of leaving the body intact for the photo.
Im glat not to be squatting over a hole!

Is it dangerously poisonous then?
My only encounter with a Scorpion (apart from my other half) was in a farmhouse in Italy… saw it on the wall and freaked out, smashed it to pieces with a boot.
Only found out afterwards that the ones you get in Europe aren’t actually dangerous. oops.

Actually, I’ve no idea. I don’t have a book of scorpions and the general feeling over here seems to be that all critters you meet in the bush are dangerous. If guns weren’t so expensive the kenyans’d probably shoot ‘em too!
My tin of Mortein Doom aerosol insect repellant **is** my gun

As a chinese, I recommend Frying them in oil and eat them like chips. Hot oil also kills the poison, so no numbing after taste. Love from Dubai.

What the hell are you doing in Dubai, Will?
(or are you a different Will than the one I’m thinking of but who happens to also be Chinese?)
Actually I saw scorpions on sticks, like little kebabs, waiting to be deep-fried in woks on the backs of bycicles in the streets of Beijing when I was there. I wasn’t really tempted, partly because of the idea of poison and partly because they looked to have a highly crunchy exoskeleton-to-flesh ratio. They were skinnier than this big red specimen.
