Kick-ass scones
Tonight I’m baking for La Fete De La Musique tomorrow; my work wants to supplement the music with an international buffet put on the foreign researchers at the lab. Hard to think what to make that is “traditionally British”. I know cream teas are an afternoon affair, but it just seems so right.
The Wikipedia page on Scones says:
“In both Britain and the U.S., mass-produced scones tend to be doughier than home-made scones.”
No shit! The one I tried was awesome.
“But what about clotted cream?”, I hear you ask.
The Wikipedia page on that tells you how to make your own. We’ll see how this turns out.
