Tyg, Honey

The latest entry and the latest three comments are always available on my 'home page' at bitterjug.com (Rather than bitterjug.com/blog). (Hit the 'blog' link in the top paragraph and it expands immediately) (Currently this should redirect you to http://ogham.dragonsblood.net/~bitterjug)

The main blog page http://ogham.dragonsblood.net/~bitterjug/blog has all the entries in reverse chronological order (newest at the top). You can get there by clicking on the little 'web assistant' man at the top of this page.

I'm sorry for the confusion.

Tyg, honey, the most recent blog entry, together with the three most recent comments, are always on my "home page". Currently this is
http://ogham.dragonsblood.net/~bitterjug

which is where you shoudl get redirected to if you go to
http://bitterjug.com/

In any case, all entries are listed in reverse chronological order (ie most recent at the top) on the page you get to by clicking on the little man himself. This is the blog master page.

Hello ...

Can we also have a "most recent entry" page? I can't always tell whether you've updated the site without actually going through each entry from your "this is the new bitterjug website", or without looking in the archive for the month.

please make your website tygger-friendly, pleaase? pretty please???

Suggestion for dealing with the lack of truthfulness...

add "-ish" on the end of all the figures (this was added to POSIX-compliant sprintf family in 1997)

throw a dice. if n 4, halve them.

I want to add that the difference between 'hits' and 'visitors' is also a lie.

<b>'Hits'</b> Counts the number of times the page has been served by the server, i.e. the number of times someone has loaded, or reloaded, the page. So you should be able to nudge up the the hit counter by just pressing refresh in your browser.

<b>'Visitors'</b> Counts the number of computers with different (unique) Internet addresses have requested the page. If you just press reload this shouldn't change, you'll have to go and look at the page from a different computer. But it's not always enough to sit at a different machine at work, in the cyber cafe or at school since most institutions share one Internet address for all their outgoing requests; so if you do that you'll seem to my blog to be using the same computer.
