This subject turns out to be much larger than I ever had imagined.
I’m drwarfed and have taken a day off from working on my workshop to do geeky things that are “useless for survival” and I feel much better for having spent an hour or three drawing scale models of my living room and furniture in Inkscape as a kind of therapy, maybe I will use them to plan the room.

I got a call from Mr Kioko today, he says inflation in Kenya is 31% and things are looking bad. How’s it feel for you these days, compared with when you arrived?

I think your analysis is right on. I’ve definitely spoken on behalf of all protesters and activists in the world. I have a good friend who became a police officer and I caused a fight one time when I referred to him at level 1 as if he was “the man” or “big brother” himself. I believe this incorporates my frustration from a series of events like Seattle’s WTO protests, the G8 summit in Genoa, IDF forces in Palestine, Mexican paramilitary against the Zapatistas…

I can understand what you were going through with the ferry man… it’s hard to hold a conversation on this tough issues without going on the defensive or speaking straight from the gut…
