Mark,

Looks like I'm a few weeks late for the ugali meal, but it looks pretty good, man! Sara and I have been cooking sukuma wiki and chapati for all our friends and relatives.

It looks like I'm going back to Kenya in mid March. Sara's going to stay in America and try to work and maybe go back to school. Tala, here I come!

Yes I still remember Kenya fondly, though it is the individual people I met, rather than the country as a whole, that gives me those fond thoughts. All my students (yourself included, Jane) and my colleagues and many other friends. I wish you all safety and a speedy recovery to stability.

Hi Mark,

The meal looks delicious.I feel like having Ugali for supper.

Thanks for the concern you have for Kenya.I never thought anyone like Kioko will ever be affected but am glad he is safe.
Thanks God i was working in Central Kenya and am a 100% safe.Central & Eastern Kenya weren't affected by the clashes that much but we are still believing that Kenya will one day go back to the peaceful democratic country we have always known since childhood.

I hope your Love for our country has not faded away.

Have a great evening!

Hello DR. it so sad to see the situation how it is, actually it was good when i went to kisumu for i had a suite case, but when i was returning from kisumu after the incident of all my valuable property in the house, i tried to look for a flight on that Monday 28th January 2008 but they where fully booked, i ended up getting Tuesdays flight which i boarded at 9:00 and 9:45 i was in Nairobi, all what was in my hands was just the office key, so the principal was "In with Something Out with Nothing"

I will never forget the Hell and Battle field Kisumu
